Damon Lee Oates

Damon Lee Oates was born March 7, 1970 to the late August Lee and Orange D Oates in Stuttgart, Arkansas.  

Damon was a graduate of Stuttgart High School, Class of 1988. He participated in basketball and track & field. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Army, in which his duties included NBC (Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical) Specialist and Military Intelligence, as well as Airborne. After his military career, Damon was an instrument fitter, pipe fitter, and welder in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. He later became a Safety Manager in Washington, D.C./Maryland.  

Damon departed this life on Monday, July 3, 2023surrounded by family. 

Visitation held Friday, July 14, 2023 at 5pm at Relerford Funeral Home, Stuttgart. Funeral Service held Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 11am at Holy Benton Temple Church of God in Christ, Stuttgart.
