Girls and Boys State Delegates Place Flags out for Veterans

Several Girls and Boys State delegates showed up at the Lone Tree Cemetery to place flags on the graves of American Veterans who are buried there.The delegates were joined by veteran M.C. Bennett, Mayor of Almyra, Gene and Donna Eddins, Hal and Meredith Lovett, and Meredith Maier. Students who participated were Beau Barnes, Finley Carter, Luke Whittenburg, Ethan Boyd, Nathaniel Huitt, Parker Ellis, Eli Hillman, Nolan Millerd, Jessie Ables, Bella Jessup, Ava Ayers, Allie Ayers, Hali Watkins, Hadlee Currie, Stormy Conway, Lily Griffin, Bethany Woodell, Addison Zella, Willow Rabeneck, and Kylie White.

The students along with other delegates LaDaidrian Smith and Jesus Rodriguez Sanchez will be leaving for Girls State and Boys State the week of Memorial Day. They attended an orientation at the Daniel Harder Post 48 American Legion building to prepare for their week of Girls and Boys State.
