Stuttgart School Board has Special Meeting

The Stuttgart School Board met in a special called meeting on May 28. After the call to order, the Board went into executive session to discuss personnel. 

When they returned they approved the personnel package as presented. New hires, pending verification of credentials and background checks are: Rebecca Stroud-HS Spanish teacher; Ty Flippo-JH teacher/coach (210 days)+ Head Golf/Asst. HS Basketball/Head JH Basketball/Asst.  7th Basketball; Loralei Glover-MMS teacher; Cindy Dickson-Part-time Interventionist teacher (70 days); Bryce Despain-HS teacher; Laura Reynolds-MMS teacher; Aaron Lockhart-JH teacher; William Doty-JH teacher; Rockie Launius-PAE teacher; and Kassie Ratledge-PAE teacher.

Transfers: Latoya Buerkle from HS Secretary to HS Admin. Asst. and Anne Dawson from Para to HS Secretary (212 days).

Additional student worker: Baylor Watson

Periodic Conference Period Purchases as subs-2nd semester 2025-2026: Leslie Bednar, Michele Kerksieck, Donna Mulloy, Reagan Raper, Barry Rogers, Melissa Saranie, Ashtan Sieber, Ashley Smith, Hannah Spencer, Donna Stephens, David Tollett, Jay Tygart and Mary Yancey.

The only other item on the agenda was regarding a new law for districts to begin paying state health insurance plans using Electronic EFT/ACH to pay them. The policy is 7.2 and Ar State Annotated Code is 6-13-701. It was approved.

With no more business to come before the board the meeting was adjourned.
