Grand Prairie Historical Society To Hold Annual Potluck, Quarterly Meeting at Gillett
Grand Prairie Historical Society will hold their annual potluck in conjunction with the spring quarterly meeting Thursday, April 16, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Gillett Methodist Church. The public is welcome and are encouraged to bring a potluck item with them. Following the dinner, our program will be on archeological investigations in the area, presented by Dr. Matthew Rooney, Station Archeologist and Assistant Professor of Anthropology at UA-Monticello.
The Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of the Grand Prairie region’s heritage. Four quarterly programs are held on the third Thursdays of January, April, July, and October. In addition, members receive four newsletters and two award winning journals. Interested citizens are encouraged to join and support the Society’s efforts by sending $25 annual dues to Treasurer Raeann Braithwaite, P.O.
