Dragons Are Class 3A Regional Champions

Ending a 34-year drought, the DeWitt Dragons claimed the Class 3A Regional Championship for the first time since 1992. The Regional tournament was hosted by the Drew Central School District in Monticello during the week of February 24, 2026.

During round one of regional play, the #2 seed Dragons would take down the #3 seed Bismarck Lions with a score of 47-33.

The semi-final match-up would have the Dragons taking down the #4 seed Lakeside (Lake Village) Beavers with a score of 50-30.

On Saturday, 02/28/2026, the championship game was held between the #1 seed McGehee Owls and the DeWitt Dragons. The Dragons would blaze their way to victory with a resounding score of 61-36.
