Bill’s Corner of the World
Hi everyone!!! We are hoping that is our share of Winter. It was cruel and those single digital temperatures. That was the nighttime temperatures and daytime temperatures were in the 20's. It was cold. I couldn't and wouldn't go outside, I just stayed inside with the heat cranked up. I wrote a little and I read a lot. People are always asking me what kind of books I like. I will tell you. I like to read non-fiction, famous people, American Civil War, turn of the Twentieth Century and Nazi Europe during World War II. I have been reading from an early age, somewhere around three or four. My mother would take us to the library and then when I got older, she and my father couldn’t get me out.
This past Sunday, Miss SJHS and Miss SHS were crowned. I really enjoyed seeing the girls vying for the crown.Sometimes a winner from left field will win, who is not the favorite. I enjoy that too. That happened one year when the winner was Espanol. That was not that many years ago.
I have been to too many to mention. I always give a shout-out to Michele Kerksieck, who organizes this event and she does a wonderful job.
I haven't told you what I got for Christmas and specifically one gift. Everyone in my Book Club knows that I like the "Soap Opera" General Hospital. I was so surprised this friend of mine who is in the Book Club bought me a beautiful mug and some nifty socks. The are really wonderful. One of my best Christmas Gifts this season. I got some more, an eight by ten photo of Melissa, Jeff and Moss together. I put it immediately on the wall. They also gave me some money and I bought a heavy coat for this Winter. I have already worn it several times. It has been brutally cold.
Well, Folks Till Next Time!!!!
