Sanders Provides $1.5 Million in Funding to Help Rebuild From the April 2, 2025 Severe Storms, Tornadoes, and Flooding

E.O. 25-14:​ AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER 25-07 TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR SEVERE STORMS, TORNADOES, AND FLOODING ON OR ABOUT APRIL 2nd, 2025.

WHEREAS:​ ​On April 2, 2025, severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding occurred and continued with such severity that executive action was warranted to alleviate hardship and suffering;

WHEREAS: ​Adverse circumstances have been brought to bear upon citizens and public properties in the State of Arkansas; and

WHEREAS: ​The affected political subdivisions require supplemental assistance from the State to recover from these losses.

NOW THEREFORE, I, SARAH HUCKABEE SANDERS, acting under the authority vested in me as Governor of the State of Arkansas and pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. §§ 12-75-101, et seq., do hereby amend E.O. 25-07 (dated April 2, 2025) to provide funding in the amount of $1,500,000 to be obligated from the Governor's Disaster Response and Recovery Fund. Such funds will be used at the discretion of the Director of the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management to defray both program and administrative costs.
