The Grand Prairie Center will welcome Tracy Byrd on June 27 at 7 p.m.

It isn’t every night that a country music star comes to perform in Stuttgart, Arkansas. However, that is about to change on June 27 when Tracy Byrd performs at the Grand Prairie Center. This will be a night not like any other. It will be a night of memories of some of the greatest hits of country music. Who doesn’t remember doing the “Watermelon Crawl?”
The Grand Prairie Center is a much smaller venue than a venue like Simmons Arena where you may be sitting so far from the performer they look like an ant. No, at the Grand Prairie Center, virtually every seat allows you to see and enjoy every moment. If you want to dance in the aisle, you can.
There are still great seats left but time is running out! Contact stuttgartconcerts.com or visit the Grand Prairie Center box office for your tickets. Hope to see you there!
Tracy Byrd was a household name in the early 90’s with hits like “Lifestyle’s of the Not so Rich and Famous”, “The First Step” and then his smash, chart topping hit “Watermelon Crawl”.
Byrd stayed on the top of the charts for many years to come. Around 2010 though he decided to slow down and stop performing and start putting his family first, wife Michelle, daughter, Evee, and son’s Logan and Jared, who had taken a backseat to his career for years. He did not perform for the next three years, but in 2014 he found a new band and a newfound sobriety. Then he got back to enjoying his music.
“These days my life has great balance, my music being part of it, not all of it. I can honestly say I have never enjoyed it more.” Byrd said.
In 2016 he went back to the studio and started work on his first project in 10 years. Recorded completely in Tyler, Texas at Rosewood Studios, that album is appropriately titled, “All American Texan”, which is exactly what he is and has always been. The album features eight tracks written by Byrd. A fact he is very proud of. The album was released in October of 2016 and was very well received by fans and critics alike.
