Wayne Sexton

July 24, 2024

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather who left this world on July 7, 2024. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Pat of over 45 years, a loving father to his children, and grandchildren.

Wayne was a pillar of his community, making a lasting impact in the farming and hunting industry through his hard work and dedication. He was known for his generosity, kindness, and willingness to help others in need. He served as a city councilman, member and president of the Farmer’s and Businessmen’s Club, coached baseball teams, and was a respected member of the Gillett Methodist Church where he was on various committees until relocating and retiring in Pine Bluff.

His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, compassion, and service will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.

He is survived by his wife Pat York Sexton, daughter Leslie Sexton Kaiser Dallas, TX, son William (Billy) Sexton, Jonesboro, AR, 4 grandchild, Luke Sexton of Memphis, Maddie Sexton of Jonesboro, Collin and Kyleigh Kaiser of Dallas, TX.

May he rest in peace, knowing he will be forever remembered as a dedicated husband, awesome father, and grandfather who touched the lives of many.

A memorial service was held July 11 at Gillett Methodist Church.
