Tonya Lynn Hudson Fullbright

May 31, 2024

Tonya Lynn Hudson Fullbright, age 48, of DeWitt, AR left us unexpectedly for her heavenly home on May 21, 2024.

She was born July 16, 1975, in Stuttgart, AR, to Larry Claude Hudson and Vickie Sue Harrison Estes.

She is survived by her children, Kristina Dumond of Star City, AR, and Tristian (MK) Dumond of Azle, TX; her mother, Vickie Estes and step-father, Larry Estes of DeWitt, AR; her siblings, Angie (Marty) Duncan, Larry Dale (Allison) Hudson, Matthew Hudson, Kori Hudson, Carole Anne (Joey) Dumond, and Scott Hudson all of DeWitt, AR, and James (Whitney) Hudson of Marshall, TX; and her four grandchildren, Emery Dumond of Azle, TX, Hudson, Hampton, and Harrison James all of DeWitt, AR, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Larry “Doodle” Hudson and daughter, Viktoria Elizabeth “Torri” Dumond James.

Tonya spent many years of her life struggling in the darkness of addiction. In August 2023, a short bout of illness motivated her to change her life and move in a positive direction. On October 26, 2023, she chose to enter John 3:17, a residential faith-based recovery center for women. There, Tonya renewed her personal relationship with Jesus Christ and was baptized on November 20, 2023. Tonya’s new spirit, servant’s heart, and desire to help lead others away from the life she had lived for so long helped her mentor others and aide them on their journey to recovery, allowing her to gain many sisters during her time at John 3:17. She was a leader, mother, friend, and shoulder to cry on and many referred to her as “Mom.” She enjoyed fulfilling that role by cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, grocery shopping, sharing her clothes closet, and tending to their every need.

Tonya strived to make her family proud and wanted nothing more than to overcome her past struggles and was succeeding in her efforts with God’s help and guidance, along with the support of her family, both near and far.

Her sweet spirit and contagious smile will be deeply missed by many.

The family requests that memorials be made to Essex Funeral Home in DeWitt, AR.
