Noel Lee (Sonny) Sisemore

Noel Lee (Sonny) Sisemore departed this life May 20, 2024, at the DeWitt Nursing Home. He was born August 18, 1934, in DeWitt to James Robert Sisemore and Mable McCalla Sisemore.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers James L. (Pete) Sisemore, Beryl Sisemore, Sr., Robert R. Sisemore and Charles Glennis (Buddy) Sisemore; and sisters Odetta Sisemore Riley and Norma J. Sisemore Noble.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Flora Ragan Sisemore and one sister-in-law Mary Snook of Decatur, Arkansas (Fred). He is also survived by nieces and nephews Beryl Sisemore, Jr., Janet Sisemore Saunders, Bill Day Schallhorn, and Dee Ann Schallhorn McCoo.

Sonny was a member of First Baptist Church and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He served four years aboard the U.S.S. Philippine Sea (CV42) Aircraft Carrier during his years with the United States Navy.

Funeral services were May 23 at DeWitt Methodist Church with burial in Cedarcrest Memorial Gardens by Essex Funeral Home.
