Helen Holzhauer Wallace

Helen Holzhauer Wallace, 86, of Gillett passed away April 20, 2024. She was born February 1, 1938, in Gillett to Reinhard Henry Holzhauer and Helen Lavada Borchert Holzhauer.

She was a member of Gillett Methodist Church, and was an active and faithful participant of the women's ministries and projects, and the choir as long as she was able. Helen was always so sweet and grateful for anything done for her. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Since her great grandchildren came along, they were her favorite!

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 63 years B.T. Wallace; an infant daughter, Cynthia; and three sisters Mary Ann Pate Lovett, Doris Wallace, and Shirley Davis.

She is survived by her children Angela Newton (Rick) of Hampton, Dina Counce (Drew) of DeWitt, and Mike Wallace (Christy) of Greenbriar; grandchildren Ben, Andrea, Diane, Amber, Daniel, and Ricky; Reid, Amy, and Regan; Paxton and Cayden; great-grandchildren Maddox, Will, John, Nate, and Elliot; and sister Henrietta Gordon

Visitation was held from 10-11:00 a.m. April 23 at Gillett Methodist Church with funeral services following at 11:00. Burial will follow in Gillett Cemetery.
