Annie Marie Garrett Davis

Annie Marie Garrett Davis, age 82, was born July 11, 1941 in DeWitt, Arkansas, to Rex and Katie Garrett, and died at her home in Dewitt, Arkansas, on April 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Annie married Louis Wayne Davis on September 7, 1960, in Dewitt and was married for 63 years.

Annie loved to make homemade quilts, loved her flowers and canning vegetables from the garden, but most importantly she loved her family and friends. Annie was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn by her brother Lewis Garrett. She was faithful to her Lord and Savior until her death. Annie always had a smile on her face for you.

Annie was preceded in death by her parents, Rex and Katie Garrett; a son, Norman Davis; a half-brother, Richard James; and a half-sister, Dorothy Wright. Also preceding her were her sisters Katherine Fisher and Lessie Edwards, and brothers Lewis Garrett and Chester Garrett.

Annie is survived by her husband, Wayne Davis of DeWitt; 3 sons, Arvin Davis of Mt. Vernon, AR; Chester (Christie) Davis of Mt. Vernon, AR; and Matthew (Amy) Davis of Jonesboro, AR; one daughter Peggy (Michael) Evans of Hot Springs, AR; and one sister, Mellie Brown of Dewitt.

Annie is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Samuel Evans, Nathan Evans, Steven Davis, Necole Davis, Alli Davis and James Williams. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends, including her church family.

Annie was deeply adored and loved by all her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
