Charles Edwin (Charlie) Holbert
Charles Edwin (Charlie) Holbert, Jr. of Stuttgart departed this life and entered heaven early on Sunday, January 21, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. Holbert Sr. and Bunnie D. Holbert, as well as, one sister, Bunnie C. Holbert.
Charlie leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Lori Robnett Holbert; three sons, Heath (Amy) Holbert of Gillett, AR and Cody (Gabrielle) Holbert and Logan (Allison) Holbert, both of Stuttgart, AR; six grandchildren, Rustin (Windy), Ryan (Baylee), Cole, Cayden, Rylee and Ridge Holbert; and one great-grandchild, Emersyn Holbert. He also leaves behind two brothers, Bill (Sandi) Holbert of Stuttgart and Andy (Tammy) Holbert of Little Rock, AR, as well as several nieces and nephews and extended family.
Charlie graduated from Stuttgart High School in 1970 and opened the Jean Joint in Stuttgart in 1972 which later became the Denim Blues that he operated until 1994. After this time Charlie worked for Sonic Restaurants as a store manager in both McGehee, AR and DeWitt, AR until 2012. In his final career, Charlie operated Holbert’s Honey-Do’s where he did carpentry and odd-jobs for people all around the Grand Prairie. Whether it was helping customers find new clothes, feeding them food, or repairing their homes, Charlie absolutely loved working with people, talking to people, and helping people. He loved his family, his friends, his church, and his fur babies. He was an avid Razorbacks fan and he loved the St Louis Cardinals. He will be greatly missed by many.
A memorial service, officiated by Harley Petty, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, with visitation one hour prior at Stuttgart Harvest Church.
