Leadership Arkansas County Class Focuses on Area Tourism

Leadership Arkansas County Class III Session One was held Tuesday, October 24. This session focused on area tourism. The class first visited Pine Bluff and was hosted by Go Forward Pine Bluff CEO, Ryan Watley. The class then moved on to Saracen Casino where Carlton Saffa, Chief Market Officer led the group on an informational tour and treated the class to lunch at one of the casino’s many restaurants, Legends Sports Bar. Moving down the road, the class met with Arkansas Game and Fish’s Luke Naylor, Leader of the Wildlife Management Division, at Bayou Meto. He gave the group an in-depth look at the importance of conservation in our area. The class finished the day at 5-Oaks Duck Lodge. We heard from George Dunklin, Owner and Manager of Five Oaks, Austin Booth, Arkansas Game and Fish Director, Dr. Ryan Askren, Five Oaks Waterfowl Ecologist and Hillary Dunklin Horner, Five Oaks Director of Education.
