James “Bullet” Willeford

James “Bullet” Willeford, 56, passed away September 21, 2023 in his home with his mother and sister there.

He was the son of the late Marvin Willeford, Josie Willeford.

He was acarpenter by trade, but loved tinkering with small things as well. He loved doing yard work, and most of all he loved to make people laugh.

James is survived by a daughter he loved, Whitney Carlile (Steve) of Brookland, AR; his wife, Leona Gail Willeford of Vanceboro, NC; three bonus children that he loved, Melissa Elks Mercer (Gene) of Brookland, AR, Heather Michelle Durham (Corey) of Vanceboro, NC, and Robbie Elks of Vanceboro, NC; his mother, Josie Willeford of Hazen, AR; two sisters, Kathy Willeford Lockridge of Hazen, AR, and Johnna Willeford Henderson (David) of DeWitt, AR; two brothers, Danny Willeford (Carrie) of St. Charles, AR, and Chuck Willeford (Tara) of NC.

James has twelve grandchildren, with lots of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles that are going to miss him so much. He will be laid to rest beside his father in Des Arc, AR.

Due to his wishes, there will be no funeral, as he despised them, but there will be a potluck gathering for friends and family in the coming weeks.
