Kay Wright Mitchell

Kay Wright Mitchell, 74, of DeWitt passed away August 24, 2023. She was born June 5, 1949, in DeWitt to Earl "Dude" and Edna Payer Wright.

Kay was known as "Ms. Kay" or "Kay Kay" to many children over the years and was dearly loved by them. She worked for nearly 40 years at Southside Elementary and DeWitt Elementary Schools. She was also a member of First Baptist Church in DeWitt.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents and her former husband, Grady Mitchell.

She is survived by her son Kelly Mitchell and his wife Karri of DeWitt; two grandsons Luke (Caroline) and Jake Mitchell; and two brothers Bobby Earl Wright (Carolyn) of DeWitt and Mike Wright (Sharlee) of Conway.
