August 30, 2023

Justin Dwayne Rodgers, born on June 26, 1975, in Cushing, Oklahoma, to proud parents Gerald and Joyce (Farrow) Rodgers, embarked on his final journey on August 19, 2023, in Seiling, Oklahoma, at the age of 48 years, 1 month, and 24 days. A life well-lived, filled with love, dedication, and compassion, Justin's legacy will forever remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.

Educated, ambitious, and compassionate, Justin's life story is one of growth and achievement. He began his educational journey within the Cushing school system, later completing his 6th-grade through senior year studies in DeWitt, Arkansas, where he proudly graduated in 1993. His pursuit of knowledge led him to the University of Arkansas in Little Rock, where he earned a Master's degree in Psychology in 1998, a testament to his dedication and intellectual curiosity.

In 2018, Justin's journey led him to Vici, Oklahoma, where he not only found a place to call home but also a meaningful career. As a Senior Behavioral Health Case Manager at the Lighthouse Rehabilitation Center in Woodward, Oklahoma, Justin dedicated his talents to improving the lives of those he served, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the well-being of others.

Justin's spiritual journey was equally significant. On July 20, 1990, Bro. Phillip Young baptized him, and he became an esteemed member of the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn, where his faith provided a guiding light throughout his life's path.

While accomplishments define a life, it is the cherished moments shared with family that truly encapsulate its essence. Justin found joy in the company of his loved ones, creating cherished memories during family gatherings and excursions. His favorite pastime was thrift shopping, where he delighted in hunting for unique treasures alongside his mother, sisters and nieces.

In his departure, Justin joins his father, Gerald Rodgers, and grandparents, Carl and Naomi Farrow, as well as Russell and Fern Rodgers, along with his brother-in-law Dennis Idlett and other beloved family members. He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will continue to inspire and uplift those who knew him.

Justin's memory lives on in the hearts of his mother and stepfather, Joyce and Corky Boyd of Vici, Oklahoma, and his siblings: Sherry McGraw and husband Brent of Wichita, Kansas; Jennie Idlett and boyfriend Harold of Purcell, Oklahoma; Joshua Rodgers and girlfriend Kari of Vici, Oklahoma; Summer Dennett and husband Travis of Vici, Oklahoma; and JoVanna Pace and husband Adam of Vici, Oklahoma. He is also survived by two aunts and uncles, nine nieces, nine nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends.

As we bid farewell to Justin, we honor the legacy of a man who lived with purpose, kindness, and dedication. His memory will forever remind us to approach life with compassion, to cherish our loved ones, and to continue his legacy of making the world a better place. Rest in peace, Justin Dwayne Rodgers. Your presence in our lives will be deeply missed, but your spirit will forever live on.
