Arkansas Post National Memorial to Host Annual Free Fishing Derby

Arkansas Post National Memorial will host a free youth fishing derby at the park pond on Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. The event will provide youth up to 16 years of age the opportunity to fish the pond that will be stocked by Arkansas Game & Fish Commission.

Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., fishing will begin at 9:00 a.m. and prizes will be provided at 11:30 a.m. Educational materials will be provided by the US Army Corps of Engineers and the prizes will be provided by the Friends of Arkansas Post National Memorial.

Fishing will be prohibited to the public the prior to the derby. Signs will be posted around the park pond reminding anglers.
