James Edward Simmons

James Edward Simmons, passed away May 13, 2023. He was born October 23, 1946, in DeWitt. 

He was a professional truck driver until his retirement in 2014.  He only stayed retired for 6 months or so, then went to be a security officer for Allied Security, he mainly worked at Lennox doing security for them. He just recently went back to work, at Lennox as a security guard. He was on his way to work when he passed away. He lived in DeWitt and Point Deluce for 30 years. When his dad passed away, he moved to Stuttgart to be closer to his son. 

He is proceeded in death by his parents, JD and Billie Simmons. 

Pop pop is survived by his son Danny and wife Shanna of Brasfield, AR and 2 granddaughters, Ashley Simmons, Stuttgart, AR and Greenlee Simmons of Brasfield, AR, and a host of cousins and extended family.
