Carl Edwin Raabe

Carl Edwin Raabe, 82, of Almyra passed away September 18, 2022.  He was born September 1, 1940, in Almyra to Ralph Augustus and Elva Virginia Oliver Raabe.

Carl was a farmer and a member of Almyra First Baptist Church.  He was a charter member of Yoder Ruritan Club and was very active in the club over the years.  Carl had also served on the DeWitt School Board.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Elva Raabe; his wife, Martha Ann Turner Raabe; and his daughter Lei Ann Holbert.

Carl is survived by his children John Raabe and Jennifer Smith (Eric) both of Almyra; three grandsons Gregory Holbert (Natasha) of Dardanelle and Read and Wyatt Smith of Almyra; one great granddaughter Sadie Holbert; and two brothers Milton Raabe (Gail) of Hot Springs and Oliver Raabe (Kathy) of Almyra.

Funeral services will be 2:00 Thursday, September 22 at Almyra First Baptist Church with visitation one hour before the funeral from 1-2 p.m.  Burial will follow in Almyra Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made to Almyra First Baptist Church, P.O.
