Carolyn Sue Weddle

Carolyn Sue Weddle, age 77 of DeValls Bluff, passed away at her home on Thursday, September 1, 2022.

She was a former employee of the US Post Office at Roe, and she retired from Lennox Industries in Stuttgart. Sue was an avid quilter, and she loved her family, the outdoors, her horses, and her dogs - especially her faithful companion, Beau.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Winston and Eula Mae (Scroggins) Carr, and by her husband of 25 years, Harry Weddle, who departed this earth five years before she was able to join him; brothers Wince Jr, Buster, Wayne, Donnie, and Larry; her sister, Shirley Mae, and a granddaughter, Courtney Burlison.

She is survived by her sons, Emil Scheiderer Ill (Terri) of Ulm and Jason Scheiderer (LeAnn) of Roe; her daughter, Rebecca Roberts (Gaylon) of Humphrey, her stepdaughter, Susan Caplener (Don) of Clarendon; her sisters, Marlene Lee of Oneida, Kay Burtram of Dewitt, and Vickie Little of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Julia and Emil William Scheiderer IV, Christopher (Ruth) Scheiderer, Jonathan (Erica) Scheiderer, Kaylee Logsdon, Evan Jacobs, Blake Roberts, Ashley Roberts Eagle (Clay) and Gracelyn Caplener; 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the Westbrook Funeral Home chapel in Hazen with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute.
