Linda Barker Gonzales

Linda Barker Gonzales, 73, of DeWitt was reunited with the love of her life, Benny Gonzales, in heaven on June 25, 2022.  She was born August 26, 1948, in Hickory Ridge, AR, to George and Roxie Barker.

Linda was a LPN for many years, but even before she got her nursing license she had all of the characteristics of a nurse.  She was always taking care of someone, listening to them, and patching them up.  If you asked her opinion, you better be ready to hear the truth because she would tell you and she didn't sugarcoat it!  Linda was a great wife, mother, sister, daughter, and most of all grandma.  She liked to hunt and fish, plant flowers, cook and spend time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 40 years Benny Gonzales; brother Phillip Barker; grandson Benjamin Dawes; and son-in-law Leslie Dawes.

Linda is survived by her children Benny R. Gonzales (Katina Poole), Chris Midkiff (Tim), Angie Nick, and Jody Dawes; grandchildren Timothy Midkiff and Cassidy Etu, Justin and Whitney Midkiff, Nick, Matthew, and Katie Dawes, and Cody and Corey Nick; great grandchildren Luna Midkiff and Rebekah Simpson; and several brothers and sisters.
