Sue Reeves Horton

Sue Reeves Horton passed away peacefully on June 13, 2022. She was born December 9, 1936, in Humphrey to James and Marie Reeves.

She was employed at Stuttgart Shoe Factory while raising her 4 sons as a single parent. Sue married Homer Horton who was the love of her life on June 21, 1976, and she gained a daughter with that union. As much as she loved being a mother, her greatest title was "Meme" to her grandchildren.

She and Homer worked hard in Faith Baptist Church seeing it grow from a little white building to what it is today. She touched many lives with her Sunday school classes and with the bereavement ministry.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, husband Homer, son Wyatt Bradshaw, granddaughter, Christi Bradshaw, and her sisters, Lou Hunt and LaVonne Swan.

She is survived by her children - Mike (Nell) Bradshaw, Cary (Leah) Bradshaw, Scott (Natalie) Bradshaw, and Karen (Barry) McKewen. Her grandchildren - Laura Pounders, Lance Bradshaw, Adam Bradshaw, Cara Howard, Conor Bradshaw, Clayton Williams, Jessica Dickson, Casey Sieber, and Macey Bradshaw. Great grandchildren Tatum, Finley, and Maris Pounders, Gunnar and Gwen Bradshaw, Brandt and Sage Dickson, Carter Jean Williams, Colton Williams, and baby Sieber arriving this fall.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 16, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior. Burial at Cedarcrest Memorial Gardens by Essex Funeral Home. The family requests memorials be made to Faith Baptist Church, 725 McAdams Rd, DeWitt, AR 72042. www.essexfuneralhome.com
